To apply, please complete the application form for the program you wish to apply to (see Application Forms section at the bottom of page) and send it along with the supporting materials (if required) and your tuition payment or deposit by the deadline. You will be notified as to your acceptance within ten business days. In the event that you are not admitted, your tuition payment will not be processed.

The Professional Programs accepts checks and these major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover. Please make checks out to “UC Regents” and attach to your application form. Checks that are not made out to UC Regents will not be accepted. Space to provide credit card information is provided on the application form.

At this time, financial aid is not available for any Professional Programs course. However, you may apply for a private Career Training loan through SLM Financial to pay for either the Professional Program in Screenwriting or the Professional Program in Producing. You may not apply for a loan to cover tuition for short courses, including advanced workshops and mentorships.

IMPORTANT: The first step is to apply for the Professional Program. Include a cover letter with your application, stating that you will be applying for an SLM loan. You do not need to include the tuition deposit. Once you are admitted to the Professional Program, you will receive an email with instructions on how to apply for a Career Training Loan online.

If you will be applying for a loan, your enrollment in the Professional Programs course will be contingent upon your loan approval. You must apply for your loan -- and be approved -- prior to the loan application deadline for the program (see below). Otherwise, your spot in the program will be opened to other students.

Loan application deadlines for 2008:
Professional Program in Producing -- April 25, 2008
Professional Program in Screenwriting -- July 11, 2008

IMPORTANT: You must apply for a loan to cover the entire tuition cost, unless you are paying part of the tuition out of pocket. We will not accept multiple loan payments.

Remember, do not apply for a loan until you know that you've been admitted to the Professional Program. You will be given full enrollment status in the Program once your loan has been approved.
